The last few weeks have been very rough for my family but we have endured and continued on. What I learned out of all of this is how important it is to count your blessings. We miss opportunities everyday to tell those we love how much we appreciate them without realizing how fast they can be taken away from us.
This holiday season; please think about your sorrows and your joys from the past year. Please don’t take a moment or a person for granted. Hold your children close, don’t be upset at your spouse or significant other over something petty, call your parents often and make time for your siblings. Spend more time appreciating the people in your life and less time being angry.
At my brother’s funeral, a family friend told me that while we are going to miss my brother and we are hurting now, we can this as an opportunity celebrate his life. Therefore, I ask please take the time to celebrate life and make that your goal from here on.
Have a very Merry Christmas and I hope that 2011 is good for all of us.

Well said Lana. We can’t see the future … or the trials that we must face.
Merry Christmas, Lana. May your day be filled with the special warmth and joy of family and friends, and may the coming year be a good one for you and yours.
